Hello and thank you for visiting Waggish Writer.
One of the things I had noticed when I was working on my blog that there were posts with images and posts without images. Those with posts images struck me as more interesting than the ones without images.
Therefore, I decided to create images to represent my personas, as demonstrated in the gallery below following the cool image my partner made for me.
Author is represented by a book as I would eventually like to have a whole story in a book. This book can either be an e-book or a physical book. I would love to a whole physical book that is all of my creative work with my name on it.
Poet is represented by a quill, ink bottle, and scroll. I like this image as it is a romantic imagining of the poet. Lovers or dreamers pouring over paper with quill in hand, searching their imagination for the rhyme or words to describe the image their inner eye sees.
Screenwriter is represented by a piece of film. Film is something that always intrigued me, but I never imagined writing scripts. I thought it would be very challenging. When I had been introduced to screenwriting, I found it was one of the most beautiful but most challenging crafts of writing.
Journalist is represented by a notebook. It is not my best artistic representation of the notebook. However, I remember many conversations where I scribbled down notes from my interviews as fast as I could. It was challenging for I would be caught up in the conversation as I was listening to their stories.
FanFiction Writer is more of a creative interpretation of what a FanFiction Writer does. The colored segments represent the original worlds that the creators make. A FanFiction Writer draws the worlds together to create something new with their original story lines set in a universe that readers know and love. The greatest challenge and most worthwhile effort is to capture the spark and present the world in a new way.
As these are drawings, these are only my first attempts to capture my personas. I imagine that I will work on either improving my drawing skills or dust off my graphic design skills to see if I can make something better.
