Waggish Writer Week 1 Reflections

Updated: Apr 22, 2021

Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit Waggish Writer.

It has been a week since I made a leap of faith to release creativity to the universe via the Internet. The 'Aha' moment was being able to find my website where I was found on the first page when I looked up Waggish Writer for the first time. I was a few entries low, but it is hard to complain when you see a dog as the first image of the search page. Waggish is a word mostly associated with dogs, and I am more of a dog person than cat person. Cats have their charms, but I place dog first.

My ranking most likely would have changed at this time, but I can live with that at this stage because it is only week one of a life-long journey I am taking my creativity and whoever wishes me to join me in my adventures in the written word.

Content quality is important to me as a creator. I want to engage and inspire visitors to pursue creativity in their own ways. Writing is my first love in the realm of creativity. Another avenue of creativity I am dabbling in is drawing that I am doing for my FanFiction writing.

I started writing FanFiction for FanFiction.net in December of 2015, but it has been a hiatus until I decided to advance my creative outlets by creating Waggish Writer. One of the challenges that I gave myself with my FanFiction writing is to draw cover images.

My profile image is a rose, the first one I attempted with a tutorial. I'm fairly pleased by it as it was my first attempt following the guide for the rose image. Pride's Moon Bride is a hybrid of two tutorials, one for a moon and one for a wolf's paw print. Cover images I recently created are for "True Intention" and "X-Wielder: Nobody Chasing" as the sizing of FanFiction.net for images are challenging. I'll finagle it, but I'll do it on my own time so it looks good and I can be proud of it as a creator.

I am planning to relocate the sources I used for my images to share them in case others are interested in creating their own images. Eventually, I may take the time to draw from real life to level up my drawing skills to create drawings from my own imagination rather than tutorials.

I am grateful to have started this website as it has helped given me direction and motivation that I have been missing from my life. I have tried following life in the traditional patterns, but I haven't been able to conform my heart to follow the traditional patterns of success. My mood has improved, and I actually had a loss of weight rather than a gain I expected. I feel that covers my overall reflection for the time being.

Thank you for taking time to visit Waggish Writer. If you wish to show your appreciation, you are welcome to...

This is Waggish Writer signing off of this post. Stay tune for more reflections next week!
